Class of 1969 – 40th Reunion

Posted by mcauleyhighschool on July 1, 2009

Saturday, June 27, 2009, Easy Street Café, downtown Toledo.

A wonderful time was had by all and we were especially appreciative of Kathy Farkas’s traveling all the way from Prescott Valley Arizona, Jackie Elder traveling from Craryville (Hudson Valley), New York, Mary Pat Nahacky traveling from Franklin, Tennessee, and Michelle Alger from Benton Harbor, Michigan, to be with us.  Karen Mundwiler came a little late due to another commitment, and missed the photo.  With 28 in attendance that was nearly one-third of our graduating class.

I want to thank Ann Queenan, Chris Best Keller, Pat Carroll Sweet, Sue McCann and all our friends on the committee that untiringly put this together. Not only was it worth the ten hour drive…it was “worth” the 40 year wait…unless you’re Pam Devolder and Karen Knight of the five year reunion and then it’s only 35 years, right..but who’s to quibble I ask? It was a grand event, thanks again! Jackie Strowger Elder

Thanks again to the committee who worked so hard to bring this evening together. There were lots of laughs and good food and drinks shared by all!!
Looking forward to seeing everyone again very soon.

  7. Glad I could make the reunion. As it turns out I have been to them all. It was great to see everybody. Hopefully even more will come to the next event. A big thanks to all who took their time to organize this fun gathering and thanks to all who were able to come and share with all of us.

    • Kathy, I can’t believe you are related to my very dear friend, Lynn Gardner. We have been friends for over 25 years. Our sons went to school together. Lynn is a fantastic
woman as are you. It was great seeing. Love, Pam Devolder

  8. Ladies what a great party! Thank you to the special people who spent their valuable time putting it together. It was so much fun seeing all of you. Very little changes, still a great group of women. Thanks to those who came a distance. It was much appreciated and wonderful to see you. Love to all
