Our sympathies go out to Barb Puhl Gorsuch ’72 on the loss of her husband Jim Frueh, Sue had been with Jim for 31 years! Obit below from the Toledo Blade 5/30/09 – Not sure if you can still post a note on the Blade or Funeral Home site but you can try.

FRUEH James “Jim” James “Jim” Frueh, age 62, passed away peacefully at home Thursday, May 28, 2009. He was born March 7, 1947, to Arthur and Virginia (Staples) Frueh in Lima, Ohio. Jim worked in the family ran bakery for many years in Lima. In Toledo he was employed with Centre Supermarket and for the last 10 years, Cub Foods, where he retired from in 1999 due to health reasons. Jim will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, William Frueh. Jim is survived by his loving significant other of 31 years, Barb Gorsuch; daughters, Jamie Burton, Kari Frueh and Stacie Gorsuch; sons, Marcus Frueh and J.R. (Ann) Gorsuch; step mother, Jean Frueh; 13 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter; sisters, Pat Hahn and Carolyn (Alphonse) Averesch; his canine companions, Josie and Micky; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. The family will receive guests on Monday from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300) with Memorial Services beginning at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home. The family would like to give a special thank you to all of the staff and caregivers at Hospice of Northwest Ohio and Ann and Stacie Gorsuch for all of their loving care and support given to Jim and his family through this difficult time! To Barb Puhl–my condolences on the loss of your mate. I had been in touch w. Pete until 2 yrs. ago He was so sick then that he had to give up his apt. I’d like to contact him if he would like. My email is Andadoras@yahoo.com

So sorry, I mistook Barb Puhl for Pete Puhl’s sister, Barbara. so of course she would have no info about Pete. Again though, my sympathies to Barb Puhl G. on the loss of her mate. I have friends who have been widowed in their 50’s & I know it is difficult.
