CZARNECKI Pauline (Polly) A. Feb. 9, 1931 ~ May 18, 2010 Polly Czarnecki went to be with the angels on May 18, 2010. Polly was born February 9, 1931, in Toledo, Ohio, where she attended Libbey High School. She went to work for Gulf Oil Co. where she met her future husband, Eugene (Gene). They were married November, 1952. They lived in Toledo, raising their daughters, Becky and Bonnie, until March, 1958, when they moved to Fremont, Ohio, where they resided until January, 1970. During their years in Fremont, Polly was very active in the Fremont Community Theatre, where her talents as a seamstress flourished. She made costumes for “My Fair Lady”, “The Music Man” and “The Sound of Music” to name a few of the productions she worked on. Her skills with a needle were truly amazing! She worked for many years at Sally’s Fabric Store, sharing her knowledge and love of sewing with her customers. They moved in 1970 to Perrysburg, Ohio. Polly went to work for Lucas County Welfare Department, where she was employed until 1990, retiring for health reasons. Polly loved to spend time with friends. Her creative side led her to create decorative Christmas balls which she then gave to friends. Over the last two decades, her health continued to decline, but her spirit and faith stayed strong to the end. She is survived by her daughters, Rebecca Almquist (Ted) of Seattle, WA and Roberta Czarnecki of Perrysburg, OH. She was preceded in death by daughter, Margaret Elizabeth Czarnecki; mother, Margaret P. Beach; stepfather, Orville C. Beach; brother, Thomas Beach and his wife, Marleen Beach; brother, Albert Beach and half sister, Clarice Nofziger. A Mass to celebrate Polly’s life will be held on Wednesday, June 2, 2010, at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, 6149 Hill Ave., Toledo, OH. Memorial/visitation will be at 10:00 AM, followed by Mass at 11:00 AM. The family will receive relatives and friends at The Waterford, 4855 Angola Rd., Toledo, OH, Clubhouse #2 (at the back of the complex) from 12 noon until 3:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Little Sisters of the Poor, Heartland Hospice, the charity of your choice, or donations may be made to offset funeral expenses. Her daughter, Bonnie, would like to express her sincere thanks to the kind and caring people of Heartland Hospice for all of the help and support during these past few weeks.
