CARNEY Douglas Neil Douglas Neil Carney, age 56, passed away unexpectedly on April 14, 2010, in his Whitehouse, Ohio home. He was born March 6th, 1954 in Toledo, Ohio to John and Clara Carney. He attended St. Francis high school, and graduated from the University of Toledo with degrees in business and computer sciences. Douglas was the director of Management Information Systems at The Toledo Hospital for a short time before moving to Chico, CA to work as the Chief Information Officer and vice president for Enloe Medical Center. In his free time, he loved golfing, the outdoors, and most of all he loved his family. Douglas is survived by his wife, Sally; children, Jennifer (Robert) Shiekh, Adam and Nicholas Carney, and his grandchildren, Robbie, Connor and Madeline Shiekh, Alexis Deitzel and Branden Carney. His sisters, Marcia Street and Debra Carney; nephew, Dorian Thornbury; father-in-law, Joseph Messinger also survive. Douglas was preceded in death by his parents and mother-in-law, Loretta Messinger. The family will receive friends at St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Church, 4201 Heatherdowns Blvd., on Thursday, April 22, 2010 starting at 9:30 a.m. until the time of memorial services at 10:00 a.m. Memorial donations can take the form of contributions to the Hickman Cancer Center at Flower Hospital.
