I was just notified that Joyce Torzewski’s Mother passed away on October 7th 2010.

TORZEWSKI Florence C. Florence C. Torzewski, age 91, of Toledo, passed away on October 7, 2010, in the loving arms of her daughter and son-in-law. She was born on October 2, 1919, to Martin and Agnes Jaworski. She spent her career working at Champion Spark Plug Company. Together with her husband she served as President and Steve as Commander of American Legion Wrobleski Post # 18 back when it had the largest membership in Toledo. Florence was a founding member of St. Jude Catholic Church and a member of the Altar Rosary Society. She dedicated her life with a great devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary trusting all to her care. Florence with her personality and “hi to all” won her many friends, many preceded her in death, she especially loved to care and visit the sick whom she loved to cook, bake for and visit. Florence was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Stephen, with whom she spent 32 years of marriage before his untimely death on May 10, 1978. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Edward; sisters, Julia Keller, Helen Davis and Lillian Crippen. She is survived by her most beloved daughter, Joyce and loving son-in-law, Roy Moses. Also survived by her granddaughter, Robynn (Tim) Douthit; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Devon and Haley; and sister, Dorothy (Fred) Miller. A special godchild and niece, Susan Crippen; nieces, Jackie and Barb as well as, other nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Kabour, Dr. Welch and Dr. Bates for their years of loving compassionate care. A special thanks to all her friends and neighbors who have loved Florence over the years. You can see it in their eyes, In tender hugs and long good-byes, A love that only moms and daughters know. Friends may visit at the Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S. Reynolds Rd., on Sunday from 2-8 p.m. where a Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday beginning at 9 a.m., in the mortuary, followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Joseph’s Church, Sylvania at 10 a.m. Interment to follow in Calvary Cemetery.
