Patricia Whitacre Booth ’64 passed away

BOOTH Patricia A. Patricia A. Booth of the Point/Shoreland Community passed away at Hospice of Northwest Ohio-Toledo on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at the age of 64. Pat worked at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center as a Registered Nurse for 35 years, retiring in 2002. She enjoyed traveling, fishing, the outdoors, sunning and fund raising walks for charities. Pat was a member of Ottawa River Yacht Club, Outings Unlimited and was a Big Cleveland Brown’s and Ohio State University Football Fan. She most enjoyed being with her loving granddaughter. Pat was preceded in death by her parents, James and Monica (Lemle) Whitacre and husband, Lewis Booth. Left to cherish her memory are loving children, Mark DeCola and Heather DeCola, granddaughter; Miley and brother; Harry Whitacre. Memorial visitation will begin on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 in the David R. Jasin-Hoening Funeral Home, 5300 N. Summit St., (419-726-1583) from 3-6 p.m. Memorial Services will follow the same evening at 6 p.m. with Fr. Gerald Chmiel officiating. Interment will be private. Daughter of Linda Knack Bugbee ’68 – Murdered

I am just finding out about the murder of Linda’s daughter – we want to let her know we keep her in our thoughts and prayers – this must be most difficult!

BUGBEE Cheryl A. Cheryl A. Bugbee, age 21, passed away tragically on Wednesday, June 16, 2010, at the University of Toledo Medical Center. The daughter of Richard and Linda (Knack) Bugbee she was born in Defiance, OH, on January 16, 1989. She had currently worked as a picker for the Walgreen’s Warehouse. One of Cheryl’s favorite things to do was to go shopping. She will be dearly missed. Cheryl was preceded in death by her daughter, Ranasia. She is survived by her children, Ralph Jr. and Raniyah; her parents, Richard and Linda Bugbee; brother, Michael; fiancée, Ralph Gordon Sr. and by many aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins and friends. Family and friends may visit at the W.K. Sujkowski & Son Funeral Home, 3838 Airport Hwy., on Monday from 2 to 8 PM. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at 9:15 AM followed by Mass of Christian Burial at St. Hyacinth Church at 10AM. Interment to follow at Historic Woodlawn Cemetery. Cheryl’s family would like to thank the Surgical Staff, SICU and the Pastoral Care at University of Toledo Medical Center for their care and support. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Cheryl’s parents who have set up a fund for her children’s care.

Barbara Tank LaGrange ’73 passed away

LA GRANGE Barbara Jeanne Barbara Jeanne LaGrange, age 55, was born in Toledo on May 14th, 1955 to Theodore and June (Thompson) Tank. Barbara was a 1973 graduate of McAuley High School, and was employed by the City of Toledo Tax Division for 36 years. She was a very spiritual woman who touched the lives of many through her kindness, selflessness, and unconditionally loving nature. Barbara enjoyed her time as a Sunday school teacher at the Point Place United Church of Christ. She loved animals of all kinds, especially those with wings and those with whiskers. Barbara found joy in nature and was an avid angel enthusiast. Barbara was taken by the hand and led onward in her journey with Christ on Thursday evening, March 31st, 2011. She was surrounded in an abundance of love with her family as she peacefully passed on. After 29 years of companionship, Barbara is now reunited with her greatly missed soul mate, Robert E. LaGrange. Left to cherish her memory are her beloved children, Colleen (Ryan) Reed, Robert J. (Julie) LaGrange, and Kristy LaGrange. Barbara was blessed with 3 very special grandchildren, Jenna and Michael Reed, and Baby LaGrange on the way. She will also be forever remembered by her family, Catherine (Tank) Heffner, Maryann (Tank) Brown, Theodore and Patrick Tank, Randy LaGrange, Renee (LaGrange) Klinger, along with several nieces, nephews, and close friends. Visitation will be at the Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main St., Sylvania, on Monday, April 4, 2011 from 6-9 PM. The funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Those wishing to give donations in Barbara’s memory are asked to consider Paws and Whiskers of Toledo.
