BERTKA Robert S. Robert Sebastian Bertka, age 83, of Perrysburg, OH (formerly of Maumee) passed away on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. Bob was born on May 18, 1928 in Denver, CO to Sebastian Earl and Martha Pauline (Zellner) Bertka. Bob was a retail salesman and manager for most of his professional career retiring in 1990. He was an Army Veteran and served in the Korean War. He was a lifetime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Bob enjoyed camping, boating, fishing, hunting, gun collecting, hiking and photography. He was the family and neighborhood handyman. He is survived by his wife, Theresa; son, Drs. Kenneth and Vicki Bertka; daughter, Drs. Constance Bertka and Yingwei Fei; grandchildren, Brian (Debora), Kevin, Jennifer, McKenzie, and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends may call at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St., Maumee on Friday, March 9, 2012 from 3-8 p.m. with military honors and rosary at 7 p.m. Services will begin in the funeral home on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 12:30 p.m. followed by the Mass of Resurrection at 1 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Maumee, OH. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or St. Joseph Catholic Church Building Fund. Online condolences may be made at
