Obituary

Ralph John Reiser Jr., 78, died Oct. 8, 2013, at his home in Southport. He was born on July 31, 1935, in Festus, Mo.
He is survived by his wife, Martha; three children, Jennie Scoby of Columbus, Ohio, Heather Chase of Grosse Pointe Farms, Mich. and RJ Reiser of Houston; three stepchildren, David Wortman of Wilmington, Jess Wortman, and Laura Wortman, both of Dallas; siblings, James Reiser, Jacqueline Redding, Michael Reiser and Lynda Schwanekamp; nine grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Glenola Reiser.
The funeral Mass was celebrated Friday, Oct. 11, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Southport.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to First Tee of Brunswick County, P.O. Box 1820, Shallotte, NC 28459.
