Susan Slicker Frosh-Degg ’69 passed away

Susan L. Slicker

Susan L. (Slicker) Frosch-Degg passed away peacefully on December 25, 2013, at age 62, surrounded by her loving family. Susan was born on February 5, 1951, in Toledo, Ohio to Willard and Agnes (Brooks) Slicker. She

graduated from McAuley High School (Toledo, Ohio) in 1969. She was a devoted wife and mother, mentor and role model to many including family and friends. Susan

enjoyed traveling, cooking, reading, gardening and wildlife. She also loved her pets.

Susan had a successful

career early on serving as an assistant across several industries; most recently as a Legal Secretary for Spengler Nathanson law firm for 22 years. For most of her life, she was a resident of Toledo, Ohio and was a member of St. Patrick’s of Heatherdowns Church.

Susan was preceded in death by her parents, and her first husband, Bruce Frosch; she is survived by her loving husband of 21 years, Earl Degg; loving son, Ryan Frosch; loving sister to Sharon Slicker and William (Sue) Slicker. Susan is also survived by many loving nephews and nieces. She was a compassionate and generous friend to many.

Friends may visit at the Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S. Reynolds Rd., Toledo, Ohio on Friday, December 27, from 2-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the mortuary at 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 28. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or of the donor’s choice
