SITZENSTOCK

Robert E.

Robert E. Sitzenstock, 48, passed away in his home on Monday, March 10, 2015. Robert was a graduate of St. John’s Jesuit High School of Toledo, a member Scout of Troop #105, and attended The Ohio State University where he was a proud member of Sigma Chi fraternity. Robert worked with his father at Sitzenstock Associates until he opened his own business in Ft. Wayne, IN.

Rob was a strong believer in helping others. He spent 15 years helping sort, package and distribute food and toys for the Salvation Army at Christmas. He loved his years in scouting and his love for nature and all the antics of her wondrous small creatures fascinated him! His summers were filled with the wonders of the sights and activities of the beloved Canadian North Channel island, especially the small mouth bass fishing! Rob loved good food, both eating and cooking it as his good friends will attest to!

Rob was the life of every room he walked into spreading his charisma, his unique sense of humor and infectious smile. He loved spending time with both his niece and nephew and his fourlegged “little girl” Suki. But his true love was his OSU Buckeyes; he never missed a game.

Rob was preceded in death by his aunt, Jackie Sitzenstock, and uncle, George Sitzenstock. He is survived by both his parents, Sally and Robert Sitzenstock; his siblings, Gigi, Heidi, George, “Dude”, Synda (Gary) Heikkinen of Monticello, KY, Stephanie (Mike) Sindel of Defiance, OH; niece, Paulianne “Peanut” Sitzenstock, and nephew, Christopher Sindel.

The memorial service for Rob will be held at The First Presbyterian Church of Maumee on March 16th at 3:00 p.m., with a reception for friends and family to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Boy Scouts of America or The Toledo Chapter of The Salvation Army.
