Stephen J. Garling, age 60, of Waterville, Ohio passed away at home from cardiac arrest on May 4, 2016. He was born March 14, 1956, in Toledo to John and Patricia (Small) Garling. Steve was employed with the Ford Motor Company for more than 32 years retiring in 2007. He was an avid fisherman and a devoted Michigan Football fan. Steve’s greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren at Silver Lake.
Steve is survived by his wife, Susan Garling; daughters, Stephanie (Sean McGill) Garling and Shannon (Erik) Garling-Engevik; grandchildren, Alexi, Quinn, Espen and Amaya; parents, John and Patricia Garling; brother, Tim Garling and sister, Laura Garling. Steve was preceded in death by his son, Joshua Garling.
The family will receive guests, Sunday, May 15, 2016, from 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900).
