Jerry Stamp of Lambertville, Michigan passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 26, 2017 after a long and valiant fight against cancer on a beautiful, sunny day in Scottsdale, Arizona while visiting his daughters.
Born September 1, 1943, Jerry was a life long resident of Toledo Ohio. He married Jo Ellen “Joey” Rush on August 14, 1998. As owner of Stamp Sheet Metal for over 50 years, Jerry was an expert craftsman in copper work, seamless eaves trough, siding and trim. He was also proud member of Home Builders Association of Toledo. As an avid fan of the fairways, Jerry was a member of Highland Meadows Golf Club. He never met a stranger he didn’t like, had a perpetual, positive attitude and was loved by all. Whether he was golfing or sharing a cup of coffee, Jerry lived life to the fullest.
He is survived by his loving wife Jo Ellen “Joey”, daughters Jennifer Stamp and Jodi Jaffe, brother James Stamp (Kathy), nieces Lori Sue Stamp, Kimberly Kowal, Jackie Runtz, nephew Jimmy Stamp, former wife Starr Stamp, and Jakie “too”. He was preceded in death by his parents Leonard (Fuzzy) and Loretta Stamp and his niece Dawn Stamp.
A Celebration of his Life will be held at a later date/June –, 2017. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Ohio State University Foundation 1480 West Lane Ave. Columbus, OH 43221 “Translational Immune Therapy Cancer Research Fund”. (Fund number is “314676”)
