Loretta Jane Tucker Obituary

Loretta Jane Tucker “The Best Mom” passed away Sunday September 23, 2018 at Heartland of Waterville. The daughter of Russell and Martha Gephart, she was born January 16, 1938 in Toledo, OH. She was a graduate of Scott High School where she was a majorette. She received her Bachelor’s from The Ohio State University as a Dental Hygienist. She worked for several area dentist offices throughout the years. Loretta liked to bake, sew and spoil her grandchildren. She spent her winters in Naples, FL at the Bayside Villas where she had many very close friends. Loretta will be remember most as a dedicated mother and grandmother, who worked tirelessly to provide for her family.

She is survived by her children, Linda (Dave) Ball, Shawn Leister, Julie (Paul) Ketterman, Tim Leister; grandchildren, Kelly (Brian) Downey, Ryan Ball, RJ Leister, Luke and Lauren Ketterman, Russell Leister; sisters, Marda (Jim) Dewey, Iona (Bob) Valentine; many nieces and nephews; and special friend, John Lavery. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leonard Tucker; and granddaughter, Kelsey Ketterman.

Friends may visit the family on Thursday, September 27, 2018 from 2-7 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd). Interment will be private. Memorials may be made to Lewy Body Dementia Association. Condolences may be shared with the family at walkerfuneralhomes.com

Gordon Capshaw Obituary

Gordon Capshaw, 75, died by senseless gun violence on Wednesday, September 6, 2018. Gordon was truly a free spirit. He was kind, generous and non-judgmental. He had a joke for everyone and every subject. He loved babies, puppies and the Toledo Zoo which was where he had his first job.

He served in the army in the Vietnam War.

He was born January 22, 1943 to Dolores and Gordon Capshaw who have preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Catherine Hoolahan; his two sons, Peter and Colin; his sisters, Mary (Murray Todd), Walling (Richard Mariea), Eileen (Arthur Wilen), Alice (John Estes); his brother, John; his stepsons, Brian and Patrick; and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind many friends who are as crazy as he was.

Husband of Anita Eisel Kobylak ’62 (father of Tricia ’87 and Trudy ’84) passed away

Ronald “Pappy” J. Kobylak, age 75 of Monclova, OH passed away on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at his home after a long illness. He was born on December 25, 1942 in Toledo to Louis and Angela (Kornasiewicz) Kobylak. Ron was a graduate of Rossford High School and proudly served his country in the US Navy during the Vietnam War on the USS Lester. He married Anita (Eisel) on May 1, 1965 and went to work for Libbey Owens Ford Glass Company in the Mold Shop. Ron was a life member of the Maumee Elk’s and a member of St. Joan of Arc Church. He was a very talented man who loved woodworking and caring for the lawn. He enjoyed reading Mother Earth News and spending time with his family. Ron’s proudest achievement was designing and building his own home with the help of his wife and children. He paid great attention to the details and customization. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be greatly missed.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 53 years, Anita; children, Scott (Diana) Kobylak, Trudy (J. Mark) Turner and Aaron Middleton; brother, Theodore (Corrine) Kobylak; grandchildren, Tyler Whearty, Landon and Mallory Kobylak; and his lifelong friend, Jim Manke.

Pappy was preceded in death by his parents; and his daughter, Tricia Kobylak.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joan of Arc Church where the family will greet visitors in the church narthex beginning at 9:30 a.m. A funeral luncheon will follow at the Maumee Elk’s Club. Interment will be private. The Sujkowski Funeral Home of Rossford is assisting the family with arrangements.

Daughter of Joannie Mowka Krall ’71 passed away

Lisa Marie Krall

Lisa Marie Krall passed away on Friday, August 18, 2017 at the age of 36. She was surrounded by her loving family at Ebeid Hospice in Sylvania, Ohio.

Lisa was a devoted mother to her two sons, Jordan and Kaden and daughter Aubry. Lisa was known by family and friends to be one who always put others ahead of herself. She was kind and caring, but also one to announce her true feelings when needed. All with love of course.

Surviving Lisa are her parents, Joanie and David Krall; sons, Jordan and Kaden; daughter, Aubry; brother, Todd (Kelly) Krall; nephew, Ryan; niece, Lyla who meant the world to Lisa; loving companion, Jay Smith, and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Family and friends may visit on Monday, from 2-8:30 p.m. at the W.K. Sujkowski and Son Funeral Home, 3838 Airport Hwy. Prayer services will be held on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at 10:15a.m. in the mortuary followed by the Funeral Mass at Little Flower Church at 11 a.m. Burial services will be private.

The family of Lisa would like to thank Dana Nowak, Beth and Erin Butcher, home hospice nurse Wanda, nurse Karen from Ebeid Hospice, and Dr. Christine Ellis for all their love and support. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations which will go towards Lisa’s children.
