Father of Pamela Kaseman ’69 and Debra Kaseman ’80 passed away:

Paul H. Kaseman, age 96 of Toledo, OH passed away on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 in his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Maumee on June 29, 1924 to Henry and Hilary (Bellner) Kaseman.

Paul attended Maumee High School. He married the former Betty Jane Lumbrezer on June 7, 1947. They celebrated 73 years together. He built his own home in 1951 with the help of relatives. He will be remembered for his sense of humor (he loved a good joke).

Paul was an electrician by trade and just celebrated 70 years in the IBEW Local 8 and spent 37 years with Romanoff Electric Company where he specialized in motor control. He and Betty loved camping and were members of Good Sam’s and Holiday Rambler Clubs. He continued camping until age 90!

Paul and Betty had 6 children; Greg (deceased), Pam (Brian), Mike (Donna), Jeff (Kim), Kathy (Mike), and Deb (Doug). Blessed with 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and son Greg.

Family and friends will be received at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St., Maumee, on Saturday from 10:00 am (The Rosary will be recited at 10:00 am) until the time of prayers at 12:30 pm. The Funeral Mass will follow at St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Catholic Church at 1:00 PM.

Obituary for Ann McCallister

Ann Laura McCallister nee Stephens passed away in her home on Wednesday October 28th in Toledo Ohio at the age of 71.
Ann is survived by her children, Ian McCallister and Caitlin “Caiti” McCallister; siblings, Jeffery Stephens, Barry Stephens, John Stephens, and Casey Stephens, along with their respective families including many nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews. Ann is preceded in death by her parents, Robert Stephens and Rose Ann Stephens of Toledo, Ohio.
Ann was born on May 12th, 1949 in Toledo Ohio to Robert and Rose Ann Stephens. She graduated from Bowling Green State University with a master’s degree in speech therapy. Ann worked for many years in Toledo Ohio, Port Clinton Ohio, and Florida. Her goal was to help as many children as she could while enjoying a quaint lifestyle in small seaside towns. Ann married Lee McCallister, a mechanical engineer, in June of 1981 and over the coming years welcomed two children into their lives. Ann’s children Ian and Caiti remember their mother as a kind, unique woman, with many talents and joys, but mostly her love of family. After moving to Shreveport Louisiana, Ann pursued a career in American Sign Language and was a successful interpreter until 1999 when she decided to return to her first passion of working with young children. Ann help a countless number of children and touched the lives of many learning-disabled families in her 45 years of teaching.
Ann was an accomplished artist with a flair for drawing, design, and jewelry making, she also enjoyed the theatre, film, and music. Ann had a love of antiques, specifically glass oil lamps, which she collected over the years and was an avid animal enthusiast and lover.
A visitation and remembrance will be held on Thursday, November 5th from 4pm – 7pm at Coyle Funeral Home in Toledo, Ohio. All are welcome to attend. Face masks and social distancing will be required by the Funeral Home.

Bridgett Albrecht Emm ’72 passed away (sister to Michelle ’69, Robin ’70 and Judy ’76)

Bridgett Ann Emm (neé Albrecht), age 66, of Swanton, OH, died on Saturday, November 7th, at her residence. She was born on February 2, 1954, in Toledo, OH, to Richard and Barbara (Bennett) Albrecht. Her mother and father are deceased.

Bridgett was a 1972 graduate of McAuley High School in Toledo, OH. She had a fulfilling career as an ultrasound and radiological technologist for more than 40 years and worked for Maumee OB GYN for the last 30 years. In addition to her career, she and her husband shared a deep connection to the outdoors. Together they passionately operated their charter fishing business, Salm-Eye-Emm Sport Fishing, in Cheboygan, MI, on Northern Lake Huron. They also enjoyed hunting the forests of Ohio and caring for their beloved dogs, Bojak and BB.

Bridgett is survived by her husband of 29 years, Michael J. Emm, whom she married on August 2, 1991 in Waterville, OH; sons, Blake M. (Sarah) Warner of Bethesda, MD, and Andrew M. (Kimberly) of Daphne, AL; stepdaughters, Nichole and Karin; five grandchildren, Hazel M. Warner (6), Blakely M. Warner (5), Rhys A. Warner (3), Alyse M. Warner (2), and Kamila E. F. Warner (1); brother, John (Esther) Albrecht of Detroit, MI; and sisters, Michelle (Dave) Alger of Benton Harbor, MI, Robin (John) Picard of Saginaw, MI, and Judy (Gary) Mohr of Waterville, OH.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made out to the Wounded Warriors Foundation (woundedwarriorproject.org) or to the Toledo Northwestern Ohio Foodbank (toledofoodbank.org).

A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2020 from 1:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. at Newcomer Funeral Home – Southwest Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo, OH 43614 (419 473 0300).
