Kathleen Mossing ’82 passed away (sister to Amy ’83 and Ann ’74)

Kathleen Ann Mossing, born on January 7, 1964, and died on October 10, 2022. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge God and God will direct your paths. Prov. 3: 5-6.
Kathy died peacefully at home with her beloved dog, Louie, by her side. Kathy was a graduate of St. Patrick of Heatherdowns, McAuley High School and Bowling Green State University. After college Kathy became a manager at the Lion Store and a USPS clerk at the South Detroit branch in Toledo.
Kathy is survived by her mother Marilyn Mossing, siblings, Ann Borgia (Tom), Gary (Jana), Jeff (Lynda), Joe (Sherri), Alan, Amy (Brad Gross), Jennifer Tekkey (Pradeep), 17 nieces and nephews and 12 great nieces and nephews whom she loved immensely. She was preceded in death by her father Kenny Mossing; her brother John and sister Lisa. Kathy loved adventure and trying new things. She enjoyed traveling to Spain, Israel, Ireland, and Mexico. She enjoyed spending summers in the sun at her Irish Hills cottage surrounded by family and friends. She liked watching and playing sports, creating her own recipes, shopping at garage sales and engaging in political discussions. Kathy will be remembered for her inquisitiveness, sense of humor, and adoring smile. Most of all, her family will miss her energy and infectious laughter.
Friends may visit at the Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S Reynolds Rd on Friday, October 21, 2022 from 4-7 p.m., with a Vigil Service beginning at 6:30 P.M. Her funeral service will be held at St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Church on Saturday, October 22, at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to The Toledo Humane Society or Toledo Food Bank.
