Sharon Rose McHugh, 76, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2024 at Hospice in Perrysburg after a short illness. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on October 14, 1947 to Joseph H. and Mildred “Midge” McHugh. Sharon graduated from McAuley High School. She was a Licensed Professional Nurse for many years, and later earned her Registered Nurse degree. Sharon worked for over 30 years as an ICU Nurse at St. Luke’s Hospital. She adored babysitting for her nieces and nephews, and later, her great nieces and nephews.
She leaves behind her siblings, Judy Blunk, John (Joan) McHugh, Jim McHugh (Bill Klatt), Kathy (Jerry) Smith, JoAnn (Gerry) Takats, and Dennis (Laurie) McHugh; nieces and nephews, Tony, Michelle, Bethany, Christopher, Michael, Colleen, Molly, Maureen, Kelly, Sean, Megan, and Bryan, and many grand and great grand nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church on Friday, January 12 at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation in the church an hour before, at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery. Coyle Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
