Brigid M. “SILVER GIRL” 1952-2011 One of eleven children born to Francis and Catherine Nally, Brigid grew up in Maumee, Ohio but loved her adopted hometown of Cincinnati. She received degrees from Xavier University and the University of Cincinnati. She was a special needs teacher in Butler County, Ohio and then worked part-time in her later years at CCHMC. She was a tireless advocate for the rights of individuals with developmental disabilities and mental illness and their families. She also promoted the cause of multiple sclerosis research. She had a deep abiding devotion to her Catholic faith and her Irish heritage as well as her large loving family and many dear friends and co-workers.Brigid was our “Silver Girl” with sterling qualities of beauty, serenity and generosity of spirit. “Sail on Silver Girl, Sail on by, Your time has come to shine.”A private family service is planned at this time. Donations can be made in her name to the Multiple Sclerosis Society SW 4440 Lake Forest Drive Cincinnati, Ohio 45242.
